Located at the south coast of Alagoas, the beach is one of the most famous and visited of brazilian coast.
The beach is marked by an area of native forest and coconut trees and a reefs area where you can dive, do a boat ride and enjoy seafood in several tents on the beach. On weekends it is quite popular but coconut trees on the other side is more quiet and you can make good use of the beach.

| Surf | ||||||||||||
One of the best brazilian beaches to practice Surfing, between the months of May and August when the waves are more constant, breaking waves up to 8 feet. In the days of offshore winds the tubes are guaranteed! The constancy of the beach is impressive and can break good waves almost all year.

Surfboards sizes: 5'11 "for the day lower, a 6'1 and a 6'6" to the overhead.
Best season: May to August (other months also break waves) There are surf shops, instructors and boards rental on the beach.

Kite Surfing: the period with the northeast wind (end of October to December) the beach offers good conditions for kite. |

Diving: between January and April, the water is crystal clear and diving is excellent. There is a diving school on the beach with instructors |

| Getting there | ||||||||||||
Distance: 25km to the center of Maceió, from where the bus lines goes directly to the beach: Company Real Alagoas, line Marechal Deodoro Taxis charge on average 30 reals from the center and 70 reals from the airport. |
